These pictures are from last year

KwSnowIce1Our first babies were born in the snow/ice storm of March 16th. When Sam came home he checked out the farm before he went to his house and luckily say two kids laying on the ice with their mother standing helplessly by. He immediately took the kids into the dry barn, hooked up a heat lamp and put the boy, 'Snow', under it after drying off the kid with some barn towels. He then took the girl, 'Ice', down to the house dried her off and went to heroic measures with his sister Kirsten and Ben to heat up the VERY cold baby. After wrapping her in dryer warmed towels and immersing her in warm water, (wrapped in a plastic bag), she began to revive and today as the picture below shows is doing well with her brother. You can see Snow and Ice when you visit.

We've also had some bunnies, (4weeks old) and chicks, (three days old), born so far

Just yesterday about 8:45 AM as we set up our Fun Week during Spring Break, we heard some strange noises coming from the Goat house. Turns out that a head and foot were presented and by the time I got my camera from the house two healthy kids were born. We're calling them Misty and Mud as that's what the weather was like during their birth. (seems we have a theme going here) Below are some pics of Mud getting up for the first time and of Marian and Judy who have just scooped up the kids and are transporting them to the barn with their mother. They are minutes old in the pictures.
