Weekend Visits to the Farm

Benner's Farm is open to the public on Weekends in the Spring and Fall from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m.

Our nominal fee of $6.00 for adults, $5.00 for kids (plus tax)* entitles you to visit with our animals, walk through the nature trails, and enjoy our world famous swing in the woods! With each addmission we give a cup of feed for the animals.

We cater to families with small children on up. The farm is intimate, small, (15 acres), and not overpowering. We have lots of farm animals to see, pet and feed: Pony, Sheep, Goats, Chickens, Geese, Ducks, Turkeys, Pigs, Rabbits and one or two Cows. In season, (see below), there are all sorts of baby animals to interact with. A huge swing, (probably the biggest on Long Island), hangs from the oldest and biggest White Oak tree in the area.

2011 Fall weekends begin October 2nd through the 30th.*

Fall weekends allow you an opportunity to find your perfect pumpkin among the vines of our kid-sized pumpkin patch. This is a real pumpkin field with pumpkins surrounded by vines. Hayrides are included with your admission and of course you can see the animals too! Pumpkin painting is available- $2 for a small pumpkin. Fall produce sells out quick, so be sure to come early to reap the surplus of our organic family garden. Hope to see you then! We are planning many 'special' visitors this year on the weekends.*

Our farm does not have a huge cornmaze, plastic rides or straw mounds; it just provides Old Fashioned fun on an intimate scale.

2012 Spring weekends will run from April 8th-June 10th

Spring Weekends feature our Baby Barnyard; where kids can cuddle bunnies, hold soft fuzzy chicks and ducklings, and bottle-feed lambs, goat kids and piglets. And perhaps, if you time it right, you may chance to witness one of the many spring births at the farm! May 6th is our Mayday Festival, June 9 &10 is our Strawberry Fair to end the season.
