Adult /Family These 4 adult courses are designed to instruct on a more mature level (children 10 and up are welcome with a parent). Seniors are welcome at reduced rate.

From Seed to Soil ~ Starting Seeds Indoors

Get a jump on spring and extend your growing season. Study seed growth, tools, tips, techniques and resources to make your spring garden beautiful and productive.Participants will learn how to decrease gardening costs & discover the magic of watching seeds grow!

Earth Friendly Gardening

Participants will learn techniques to grow great soil, plan & plant a garden & maintain it the 'Earth Friendly' way. Topics include Soil preparation, irrigation, site planning, plant selection and pest management, plus advanced techniques to obtain and maintain a sustainable ecosystem in your garden. Permaculture theory, xeriscaping, polyculture, and more will be discussed.

Container Gardening

For gardeners without gardens--or to beautify your patio/deck and pool areas. We will study theme containers, companion planting, blending custom soil mixes, irrigation & natural fertilization and more.

Teas, Tonics, and Wild Treasures

We will learn techniques to harvest, and prepare a variety of natural plants into healthful tonics and teas included will be an interpretive hike (please wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather), hands-on demonstrations and complete instructions, recipes and resources for you to take home and use.
