Backyard Chickens

Saturday, May 6th, 2017 from 1:00pm-3:00pm. Want your own eggs? Join us and learn how to raise chickens in your own backyard! This workshop will go over basic strategies to raise a small flock. Housing, breeds, care, incubation, legality, fertilizer and benefits will be discussed. Taught by Bob and Jean Benner

Canning Jams

Saturday June 17th, 2017. 10:00am-12:00pm. This class offers hands-on participation and the chance to learn how to can strawberries and other jams. We'll share a little history of canning, offer safety and preservation tips! Learn how to store fresh produce. Taught by Staff. $40

Natural Fiber Workshop

Sunday, May 14, 2017. 1:00pm-3:00pm. We teach that the best way to understand how something is made, is to make it yourself! Many of our everyday household linens, clothing, and textiles come from farms. Come discover the whole process here at our fiber workshop, from sheep to sweater, loom to linen! We will explore the different types of fibers, and experiment with a few take-home projects
